The Air Pollution Control Code of the Essex Regional Health Commission requires the registration of certain fuel burning units—including oil, gas, and coal—and air pollution sources, as well as the permitting of incinerators. The Code applies to commercial and industrial facilities, as well as residential or apartment buildings containing eight or more units, all within the Commission’s jurisdiction.
